Then I heard the voice of the LORD saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" (Isaiah 6:8)

OFFICERS

Founder & Global Mission Coordinator

Rev. Chee Ping Hwang (or Bro. Ping), Founder and Global Mission Coordinator of Asia-Pacific Missions & Evangelism Network, Inc. (AMEN).

Rev. Chee Ping Hwang, a Singaporean Chinese, popularly known as Bro. Ping Hwang, or simply Bro. Ping, to his Filipino co-workers and friends, founded AMEN and incorporated it in the Philippines on June 16, 2000. He is currently based in Singapore and coordinates AMEN international network of ministries from there.

Since April 1990, Bro. Ping has been visiting the Philippines regularly for missions. In Singapore, the Lord gave Bro. Ping the burden to train Filipino Contract Workers and turn them into Kingdom workers for His harvest field.

Between 1994 and 1998, Bro. Ping served as the Academic Dean of the School of Missions & Evangelism (SOME) under Asia Evangelical Fellowship (AEF). More than a hundred Filipino Contract Workers benefited from the training under SOME. Many went home for good to serve the Lord after they have finished their contract. During the same period, Bro. Ping also served as the Vice-Chairman and Treasurer of the Filipino Outreach for Christ, which is also a ministry under AEF (Singapore).

Between 1993 to 1998, Bro. Ping led mission teams from Singapore to the Philippines.  Majority of the team members were Filipino domestic helpers trained by Bro. Ping through SOME. They had used their home vacation for mission work. In the Philippines, Bro. Ping speaks in crusades, conferences and camps, as well as involved in church-planting work in the mountains of Tublay in Benguet Province and in Kiangan of Ifugao. In 1997, he also brought the training programs of SOME to the Philippines. From 1997 to 2000, more than 300 courses or modules were completed by those who took them in the Philippines.

In October 1998, Bro. Ping left SOME due to personal reasons. It was then the Lord spoke to him about incorporating a mission organization in the Philippines. Bro. Ping obeyed and after a period of preparation and gathering of pastors in the Philippines to serve as incorporators of the new organization, AMEN was finally incorporated on June 16, 2000.

In 1999, SOME ceased to operate in Singapore. Bro. Ping then brought those who were doing their SOME training in the Philippines under a new mission school – Ephesus School of Missions & Evangelism (E-SOME), the equipping arm of AMEN. Since the incorporation of AMEN in 2000, the Lord has blessed the ministry of E-SOME with students in the provinces of Pangasinan, Tarlac, Isabela, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Viscaya, Bulacan, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon and North Cotabato.

Since 1994, the Lord has given Bro. Ping a vision and burden to reach the lost in the 10-40 Window. Since then, Bro. Ping has been asking the Lord to open doors for him to reach the unreached in the 10-40 Window. In December 2001, after Dr. Dante Veluz had prophesied over Bro. Ping regarding his missionary calling, the Lord revealed to him the message of the “Prophetic Destiny of the Philippines in Missions;” i.e. it is through the Filipino Church that the 10-40 Window will be reached with the Gospel for Jesus Christ. In December 2003, Bro. Ping began speaking on the “Prophetic Destiny of the Philippines in Missions,” beginning in Malolos of Bulacan, which the Lord has designated as the spiritual Jerusalem of the Philippines, the chosen place for the launching of a mega-missionary movement from the Philippines into the 10-40 Window. Plans are now underway to publish the message of the “Prophetic Destiny of the Philippines in Missions” as a book.

The year 2004 marks another turning point for AMEN. Doors are now opened for AMEN to be involved in the equipping of national Christians in Myanmar (Burma) and Indonesia in the 10-40 Window. The following year 2005, AMEN established networking ministries in India and Bangladesh, as well as Sierra Leone and Nigeria in Africa. Last year  2006, the Lord continued to bless AMEN with networking ministries in Thailand in Southeast Asia and Guinea in West Africa. Indeed, the best is yet to come. To God be the glory!

Note: Besides being the Founder and Global Mission Coordinator of AMEN, Bro. Ping is also a member of Holy Spirit Revival Movement International (Philippines), as well as Kingsway Fellowship International, where he obtains his missionary credentials and license. Bro. Ping had his seminary training at Theological Center for Asia (Singapore) where he did his Master’s Degree in Bible and Missions.
