CULTURAL ASPECT OF MISSIONS
(3 Credits)

Course Description

This
course introduces to the student the importance of understanding the culture of the people in reaching out to them and the basic principles of adapting oneself in a new culture environment.  It also covers the methods of cross-cultural communication for the purpose of preaching the Gospel in a cross-cultural setting.

Course Objective

  1. To acquaint the student with the importance of cross-cultural evangelism and missionary work.

  2. To develop in the student the right attitude towards the culture of others.

  3. To prepare the student to live in a cross-cultural setting through the incarnational model of Jesus Christ.

  4. To introduce to the student to cross-cultural communication for the purpose of evangelism and missionary work.
